Apparently that's what it is. They have made it about tribe.

Last year, the igbo nation rally around their 'Igbo love story' (Miracle and Nina) played a fast one on everybody as "BBN sweethearts"

Same thing is playing out again with Mercy and Ike, forcing them down people's throats. Other love stories dey the house but they would rather find way to run them down with condemnation.

E.g BamTeddy had a true 'BBN sweetheart story' but they finished them with the toilet sex thing, even till today it wouldn't go away..

Mercy is the main bandwagon this season. Most people supporting Mercy are people who don't want Tacha to win. Their hatred for Tacha is the reason for their support for Mercy. Most of the people who wanted to support Tacha are in team Mercy now.
That's why the only way Mercy fans hype Mercy is by comparing her with Tacha.

Majority of Tacha fans now didn't know her before the show. Ask around if u think I'm lying

She's humble, She's highly competitive and takes tasks seriously, she rarely talks about her life and her attitude achievements. She doesn't think she's better than anyone else. She gives Ike good loving. She has no airs. She has self dreprecating humor. She's crazy, wild and fun, yet also wifely and motherly. She's real and never afraid to speak her mind.
