Audi Q7 Jeep Snatched At Gun Point, Abandoned After Satellite Tracking Battle by Pebontrack(m): 10:35pm On Oct 07, 2010
After 8 hours of grueling experience in the wicked hands of armed robbers, an Alhaji, whose exotic Audi Q7 Jeep was snatched at gun point, is now a happy man again and also alive to tell his story.

His car was snatched at about 10:30pm on Wednesday 6, 2010. To ensure that the vehicle's security device did not prevent the robbers from going with the car, Alhaji was held hostage and driven all the way to somewhere around Idiroko, Ogun State, before he was eventually released. He was left off the hook around 1:30am (middle of the night).

However, while the drama ensued, a team of specialists from Pebon Worldwide Solutions (Nig) Ltd, an advanced vehicle Security and tracking technology Provider in conjunction with the Ogun State Police Command worked tirelessly at the background to ensure that Alhaji does not only come home safely, but that the robbers does not succeed in taking the Car to their intended destination - The notorious underground car market in the Republic of Benin.

Recounting the ordeal he and his men went through behind the scene, during the duration of the crises, Mr. Bonny Peter, the President and Founder of Pebon Worldwide Solutions Ltd said: “As our usual practice, all our men manning our 24-hour help desk nationwide were all alerted. Our first assignment was to dig into our clients’ database to retrieve Alhaji's record and to get in direct contact with the car through our online tracking centre and mobile navigation unit which serve as our command and control base station. We succeeded in establishing contact with the vehicle while they were in transit. We do not need to stop the vehicle right away so as to ensure the safety of our client. This is very paramount in our strategy. Hence, after he was released, we eventually stopped the car at Aga Olomo Junction near Idiroko. Seeing that they could no longer start the car anymore, they eventually fled and abandoned the car”

Pebon Worldwide Solutions Ltd was not alone in the rescue operation. After confirming that Alhaji has been dropped off, The Nigerian Police, in a hot pursuit of the gangs, also arranged to pick him up. At that time he must have been traumatized by the whole incident. Based on the coordinate (Longitude and Latitude) from the Satellite report by Pebon Worldwide Solutions Ltd, The Ogun State Command of the Nigerian Police eventually located the vehicle. As at time of writing, the vehicle has been towed to Itori Police Station

Since the poster could not defend his claim, let me come in here as Our Company Tracking Product can handle and have handled such a situation successfully.

Our product comes with an emergency trigger button, with this installed discretely; the owner can press the button during emergency just before he hands over the key. On pressing the button, the Vehicle sends "Help Me" Alert with Vehicle's location, speed, date and time to our datacenter and to the client's authorised emergency number which could be a member of his family.

With this, the family can contact the Police to work with us and we only shutdown the vehicle once we confirm that the owner is safe and has been released.

We are a foremost Vehicle Tracking/Fleet Management Company in Nigeria to give our customers safety and peace of mind for their vehicles from and around the globe.

Many have used and are still using our Products even many from Nairaland here as well.

We can install in anywhere in Nigeria and you don't need to pay into our Account as once you are ready, We send our Technician to your Location with our Equipment. You make payment through our Technician once you have tested and confirmed that all our proposed features are working.

"Pebontrak", your story's too glib! If as you state, the Ogun State police were involved in the recovery of the "Alhaji's" Audi Q7 SUV (not "Jeep"wink then there should be a link to the report. I'm sure such a high-profile case would have hit the news at some point.

Where's your source link? There isn't one, because your story's just that - a made-up tale to promote your product! I know how satellite recovery / tracking devices work, I've fitted them in the past, my current car has a covert device. They are good security devices. So, there's no need to lie, just to draw clients to purchase from you. You can lie faster than a dog can trot, it's unreal.

The OP said Alhaji was released, NOT KILLED, so

~is it safe to assume Alhaji still has a fully functional leg that conveyed him out of the danger zone once released, or

~is it safe to assume Alhaji had a fully functional mouth to ask to borrow a phone to use to notify his family and friends that he is safe and in a certain location, or

~is it safe to assume Alhaji has a fully functional hand to use to fish out the spare mobile phone he had on him or hold the phone he was borrowed,

~ Is it now a crime to give testimony in the autosection

Sure, Alhaji's phones and laptop were taken. He didnt call until he was dropped off. He couldn't even remember our office number. He called the wife who inturn called us to tell us that her husband had been dropped off.

If you need it clearer than what you read from my post, please kindly contact the DPO- Bariga Police station and ask of us. That is where the car was eventually brought to fo us to repairs after the robbers tried to destroy the vehicle wiring system.

I didn't run away from defending my claims. I was at the Police Station all day supervising the restoration process. The vehicle wiring system was badly damaged and we needed to put it right before coming to sit online to talk answer queries.

Meanwhile, I'll advise you to start your on thread. Thanks for helping

Alhji knows the wife's number and called her from the nearby village with the help of the villager

problem is, many of us are quick to judge without hearing from the other side. You asked a question, please wait for reply before you conclude, I mustn't sell to you to be on Nairaland. We have a steady subscriber base. Please wait for Vanguard - their security correspondent is aware - dont be too fast and hurry her into rushing a report - she has to put her papers together before hitting the newstand

we take pride in providing solutions to people's problem. we fielded questions from people who saw what we did. Even the police officers were stunned because it was through our direction they were able located the vehicle.

Well, for those who think we are only a tracking company, i say sorry. You need to know more about us at www.pebonsolutions.com and why we came to Nigeria in the first place.

Pebontrack, please post more detail on here, and the link to the reporting paper when it hits the news stands, and I'll personally apologise to you, I don't have any issues admitting I'm wrong.

You can't blame myself and others for being sceptical, the way you started this thread.

i dont blame people for being sceptical. Its part of the varieties in life. I have been sceptical sometime on issues.

I only blame people who ask questions and wouldn't want to wait even for just one day for answers to be provided before expressing negative reaction. We are used to seeing such.

Sure, it will be our privildge to post the newspaper report online as soon as it hits the stand.

Mr Pebon. I can say this story is a big farce. if the Alhajis car was recovered in Ogun state, the case will never be brought to Bariga. Haba, we are nigerians and know how things operate in nigeria, my questions too, if police were in hot pursuit of the car, how come the robbers still had time to drop alhaji off and the police didn't locate him that he had to go looking for a phone in a "Village" at 1am, who open door for am?

@Beechcroft
Since you believe my post is a farce and you know how things operate in Nigeria, dont you think that the Bariga Divisional HQ (where the wife FIRST reported the matter to) or Itori Police Station in Ogun State (Where the vehicle was FIRST TAKEN to after recovery) should be the best places to direct your questions to? smiley
