It's obvious there's an anti-Messi agenda on NL. Some hours ago, someone posted a silly thread about Messi giving Suarez the nod to kick a ball from under Neymar being the reason Neymar left. The thread made front page.

Why do you guys hate this guy? Because he keeps knocking out Nigeria? Because he disgraces your favourite EPL club? Why?

Messi never blamed the pitch. He agreed he hasn't had a great tournament so far before commenting on the state of the pitch. That's more than most footballers are willing to admit.

If any of you guys watch these games, you'd know he isn't playing the same role he plays for Barcelona. He's playing deeper behind the strikers and is unlikely to score as much as them.

For the first time in years, Argentina isn't depending on him to both create play and score, and so by his standards everyone thinks he's having a bad tournament, even people who only check scores online.

I hope Argentina wins this Copa so you guys can finally choke to death on your hate. It should have been the 2014 world cup, but this is also a good time.
