A lot of people have wondered what the best fruits for diabetics could be. Doctors are of the opinion that some fruits should not be eaten by people with certain conditions.

Fruits contain carbohydrate and taking too much of some of them could be bad for health. Some fruits can make the blood sugar increase if taken too much. An example is pineapple and grape.

This post will list some fruits that are good for diabetics. Note that these fruits should not be taken too much.

LIME

Limes have a low glycemic index ( The Glycemic Index (GI) is a relative ranking of carbohydrate in foods according to how they affect blood glucose levels) and help regulate how your body absorbs sugar into the bloodstream.

This makes it possible for few blood sugar spikes. Eat a few of them daily.

WATERMELON

According to Healthline, eating watermelon is safe as long as you mix it with foods of low GI (Glycemic Index).

PEARS

ear is high in fibre and eating it will not cause a high spike in blood sugar. Pears taste sweet but they are safe for diabetics, according to Pears.

APPLES

These are delicious and full of nutrients and most importantly, they are good for diabetics. They contain a lot of water and fibre. They contain sugar in form of fructose and it moderately affects blood sugar.

This means diabetics should eat it moderately.
