Oba of Benin, His royal majesty Oba Ewuare II on Wednesday, stormed the Presidential Villa,Abuja, where he pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the political tussle between the incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki and the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomhole.

The Oba, who doubles as Chairman, Edo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, said there was need to broker peace between the warring parties in order not to truncate the peace enjoyed in the state.

Recall that the relationship between Oshiomhole and the State Governor, Obaseki got strained recently over the leadership structure of the State House of Assembly.

“Mr President, we as traditional rulers are concerned about the crisis between Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Godwin Obaseki and Edo State House of Assembly.

“If this crisis is not resolved now with immediate effect it may joepardize the progress of the State”.

His father was rugged like past Obas, the Oba should not be seen intervening in political matters. When Igbinedion dared his father, he was finished politically in Edo state. If this Oba appears APC, what happens when PDP wins or Obaseki decamps?

The Oba left his throne and travelled all the way to Abuja like a common hustler just because of a problem he could easily solve in his palace within 30 minutes Am missing something here or this guy doesn't know the amount of power he wields as Oba of Benin ?

Obaseki is just playing tantrum ...if tinubu cabal which Oshiomhole happens to be a member reason his matter well he go cry. When was Obaseki when Adams Oshiomhole fought tooth and nail to enthrone him? Why do people get blinded by power to the stage they forget their source? oshiomole is only powerful in Edo north(least populous in Edo) because it's his origin..Edo central and Edo south are esans and binis.oshiomole got no say in that region..if obaseki lives APC for another party,that will be the end of APC in edo.there is a reason why PDP is silent...mind u,Edo state is APC-PDP state..no party is dominant as at now
