Lionel Messi though could not get what he has always dreamed of, that is the international major, but once again settled for the 3rd place position.

Although the tournament has been a bad one for the Barcelona star, who complained of the poor pitch of the host nations, and the poor performance of the team.

However, that is not just the only problem the Argentina star has got to deal with this season, he is just having a very bad season.

Him loosing out painfully to the Premier League side, Liverpool, having won their first leg in Camp Nou.

He could not get a chance to participate in the UEFA Champions league final. So devasated!!!

He went on to represent his beloved country Argentina in the COPA America, hosted by Brazil, and he sides struggled to make it out of the group stage, thanks to their last group match.

They eventually made it to the semi-final ,but was knock out by Brazil, which Messi claimed the officiating favoured the host nation.

Argentina met Chile their greatest rival in the 3rd place match, and this made Lionel Messi record yet another history, after getting a red card for the second time in his career.

His first red card was also gotten while playing for his country Argentina, this came has a shock to the five time ballon do,r winner.

He shouldn't have snubbed the medal, but of a truth, Messi's complaints are all genuine especially the pitch and officiating.

S. A football seriously needs to upgrade.

Now he'll feel what it means to play outside Barca that officiating always favors. So they shouldn't give him card after he tried to strangle someone. That's why cr7 is the greatest goat. Always humble n never violent even if his losing the match.

It's truly unfortunate but I think it's mostly due to a child's affiliations with his paternal heritage.

Perhaps, the issue of racism is also another factor that makes everyone stick more to his nativity.
