Nice car, Teddy. Is that the original UK licence plate? I only ask, as it doesn't come up as belonging to any model of Audi. Or was it just to make moving it within Lagos easier? |

^^^Definitely doesn't belong to any British-registered Audi. You wouldn't happen to have the VIN, would you? The vehicle registration mark WK57WFT checked against Audi comes up as invalid. |

Isn't the source of a car important to prospective buyers? Don't act like you don't understand where I'm coming from! Something seems amiss here, which you may not be aware of. If you're willing to post the VIN here (as per forum rules for imports) then I can run a check, and cross reference the VIN with the registration mark displayed on your car. Simple! |

teddy2t: I'm not offended, far from it. Just puzzled, as to why the British Vehicle Registration Mark plate displayed on your car doesn't tie in with any Audi. The only way it would come up as "invalid" would be if the car it was assigned to had a Certificate of Destruction, i.e it had been officially scrapped. If it was exported to Nigeria with that Vehicle Registration Mark, it should have an export marker assigned to it, the Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM) wouldn't simply vanish as yours seems to have done. |

Teddy, it wouldn't seem appropriate me contacting your brother, as I've never heard of him, and he didn't post the car for sale - you did. If you post the VIN here, I can run a check on it, as I can on any VAG model, i.e Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen. The VIN for a British-specification Audi TT series II will begin "TRUZZZ8J********* It's at the base of the front screen on the passenger's side, visible below the wiper. |

Teddy, I know you'll read this at some point, and I hope you'll respond. What car did the registration WK57WFT come from? I've spent the last couple of hours running it against all British specification vehicles, including trucks, lorries, heavy goods vehicles, farm machinery including tractors and bulldozers, and have drawn a complete blank. In brief terms, that registration mark doesn't exist. It's almost like it was just made up randomly, and attached to a vehicle. I think you should either clarify with your brother where this car came from, or withdraw this advert, till you clear things up. If it's a "hot car", you're not only putting yourself in jeopardy, you're giving this forum a bad rep. If you can prove me wrong, I will make a very public apology. The only way this car can be checked, will be if you display a valid VIN, I can then run it through my system, as I can with any Volkswagen Group automobile. |

I can now almost certainly conclude this particular Audi TT advertised was stolen. There are too many irregularities for it to be a straight car. In the next few days, I shall be compiling a list of 2005 - 2009 Phantom Black Audi TT's that have been stolen in Britain, in the last 8 weeks, that were never recovered. If this car were straight, Teddy would have posted the VIN, in light of all issues pertaining to it. For all that may be interested in this car, it's buyer beware! Tread with caution, and don't get burned!. |

This is what you should have done from the onset - supplied all data requested on the vehicle you're advertising, rather than act nonchalant. I will run my checks on the VIN. Before I do so, will the licence plate match the VIN supplied? Because right now, the licence plate on your Audi TT doesn't come up as a valid number. Which is why I asked you in the beginning: Is that licence tag the original one the car had? Or was it placed on the vehicle to enable easy movement within Lagos? If so, why? Only you can address these issues! |
