The President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Amb. Oladele John Nihi, who was ably represented by the National Youth Council of Nigeria Secretary General, Comr. Rikki Chinedu Nwajiofor, sealed a deal with The Nigerian Sports Summit Project (NSSP).

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, for the partnership, cooperation and facilitation on The National Schools Sports Championship and Olypic in Nigeria (NASSCON). And The NASSCON Explosive Raffle Draw Promotion.

The project is to cut across five selected states in the country, and to engage in total, 3, 870 athletes in the country.

While welcoming the NYCN Executives, the NSSP spokesperson, Mr. Martins Obi Bisong, who is also the chief consultant for NSSP, mentioned that they are happy to be working with the NYCN, and especially the leadership of Comr. Oladele John Nihi.

"We have worked with 22 other agencies before now, and yours makes it the 23rd. We welcome you to the signing of this MoU. One of the negligence we have in sports is lack of grassroots activities; which is what this project is all about. We have talents all over the place, that needs to be annexed. We are set to make sure that the youths are the paramount head of this project. Sept 16th has been set aside for the unveiling, and we will require the assistance of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, to make it a success" Mr Bisong stated.

While responding to Mr. Bisong's statement; Comr. Rikki Nwajiofor thanked the representatives of NSSP, for the warm reception. He also assured them of the Council's readiness to make the project a reality.

"There are hidden talents in the grassroots and you've not made a mistake by coming to the National Youth Council of Nigeria, for partnership. Our President is a workaholic, and I can assure you that once this MoU gets to his table, he will do everything possible to see it fly. Having verified what's in the MoU, we are fully ready to sign this and kick-start the project" Comr. Nwajiofor said.

The Secretary General also applauded the Director of Sports, Comr. Oscar Nereus, for making this possible.
In closing, he thanked the Nigerian Sports Summit, again, and assuring them of a 100% commitment.
