Oga, some people freeze in shock when they are being molested. It is like part of their brain shuts down, and they become numb. So that theory of "why didn't she shout or put up resistance," doesn't hold true for everybody, because people react in different ways to stress, attacks and fear.

I agree with the psychologist. I know of those who are scared of heights freezing completely when they reach a certain height. Even if they are holding on to something, their hand becomes loosened because of the fear. They can't move again and may fall to their death.
