If you still find it irresistible to reduce your salt intake, you would do well to read this piece and take heed.
The Department of Health and Food Standards Agency, United State, US, has warned that people

should cut down the intake of salt from the current average amount of 10 to 12 grammes a day or less. The more one reduces salt intake, the healthier one's blood pressure wil be, say the agency.

Health expert warn that those who have health problems, such as health diseases, hypertension, impotence, diabetes, should as a matter of priority reduce the intake of salt in their diet.

High salt comsumption has been linked to increased water retention in the body, often leading to swelling in the ankles, thinning of the bones (osteoporosis), asthma, kidney diseases and the development of stomach cancer.

Expert agree that too much intake of salt should be avoided.
