There is no doubt you drive your vehicle or truck every day. Whenever you’re going to work or taking your kids to school or games, you’ll have so much seat time to know your vehicle really well. The more reason you should always trust your instincts when things start to feel or sound awkward.
What’s The Cause of that Whirring Sound?
What you should know is that your engine is a finely tuned machine. There is always some noise it makes under the hood, but the noise you hear is quite predictable and a bit quiet. Whenever you press the accelerator pedal, you expect the engine to run faster, and when you release, you expect it to slow down to a smooth idle. When things aren’t okay, you can feel it. Any whirring sound that goes up and falls with engine RPM is a sign of a slight adjustment need or a major repair.
