The governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel receives a special birthday gift from Super Eagles of Nigeria as he celebrates his 53rd birthday. Super Eagles defeated Bafana of South Africa 2:1 in a quarter finals games of the Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) 2019. The first goal which was scored by Samuel Chukweze, an Abia State born striker plays in Villarreal scored at 27th minutes of the game in the first half. Though Bafana Bafana managed to get an equalizer in a controversial offside goal supported by Video Assistance Referee (VAR) system.
