Garment Factory Task Force To Launch New Productivity Guideline

In line with the determination of the Cross River State Government to enhance the productivity of the garment factory, a new directional policy is in the making.
Barrister RoseMary Archibong, the Chairman Task Force on Garment Factory, made the disclosure at a meeting with management of the facility in Calabar.

Archibong, who is the immediate past Commissioner for Information, said the new strategy is to reposition this factory for optimal production and to generate the much needed revenue to make this factory sustainable and competitive.

According to Archibong, the new modus operandi is being put in place with the Central Bank Governor's directive on the Military/Paramilitary to execute Order 003 and patronize local Textile and Garment Factories.

As a Nigerian textile factory with a vision to expand to the West African and global market, we are determined to take advantage of this Federal Government policy and receive full patronage, insisted the Chairman.

While commending the current management of the garment factory for its efforts, immediate past Commissioner for power Mr Thomas Udam urged the workers to put in more efforts for optimum customer satisfaction.

"The Governor has done a lot by providing this magnificent factory for you all to be direct beneficiaries by working here, therefore the best you can do is to put in your best efforts and to make sure that customers that come here get optimum satisfaction."
