The news of a substantive principal/chief executive of Petroleum Training Institute Effurun came in December 2016 with all the land, community and the institute in a joyous mood but little did they know that their joy will shortlived.
The Prof of chemical engineering from a south African University was the favorite to pass all the interviews held in Abuja which also favoured him because he is my fellow urobo man a deltan. As of that time, the second in command was a northerner.
Few months into his administration Prof sunny iyuke became the most desperate money hungry man of the year in Nigeria. He first brought his brothers and made all of them contractors and also have a 20% bargain with them in every contract. All contracts now doest go through due process and tender board. He awards contract to unknown people without company names and address and collect his 20%. That one is not OK for him, he started reducing the salaries of workers by drafting a different salary template outside what the federal government has as the salary template for the workers. He deducted some huge amount of money from the workers wages and claimed that NHIS took the money which NHIS denied knowledge of such money. He start to use personnel money to award contracts to his fellow cult members and collect his 20%, this is Virment and is 7years in prison.
All the original PTI contractors have been dumbed because they are not his fellow cult members and he recruit new unknown people as contractors. The worst is that he is still receiving salary from the university in South Africa thereby shuttling the two countries with staff and personnel money. He travels to South Africa at will and collect estacode. This is a man who has no single one room in the whole delta state, this was a man who has grown up children but only got wedded last year 2018.
Prof sunny is building a mansion greater than Iboris house, he has more than 5 buildings all over Nigeria including 3 houses in PH River state all this in 3 years.
This man does not have a bicycle before 2016 but lives in affluence now . He doesn't sponsor staff training any more, he will tell you to go to Abuja with your own money but he will travel to South Africa to teach his students using workers money. Nigerians, deltan and urobos must stand up to say no to Prof Sunny Iyuke.
Since 2017 no staff had received his promotion money and staff were promoted in 2017,2018 and 2019 without their promotion money being paid to them. Some staff allowances have been consume by Prof Sunny Iyuke. The former Minister of state for Petroleum have been covering his sins.
Union members have been blackmailed except the new union chairman now whom they want to intimidate. Prof sunny Iyuke must go before he kills PTI. PTI is not a polytechnic nor a university. PTI is a special training institute established in 1972 for Nigerian registration into OPEC and to produce skilled personnel for the oil and gas industry in Africa and which they have been doing very well till today .

I remember Soyinka story with Road Safety but this Prof is worst

It is quite unfortunate that the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources has been bought by the Principal and Chief Executive of Petroleum Training Institute to help destroy one of the Federal government establishment in Uvwie Kingdom. Despite the fact that the Principal of PTI Prof Sunny Iyuke and his Director of Finance and Account Mr. Mafindi has been engulfed in so many corruption scandal yet the Ministry of Petroleum is still abating his corruption ridden nature.
Since 2016 when the Prof took over the mantle of leadership, the Foremost Petroleum Training Institute in Africa has made no progress. All his policies are anti PTI. He wants to destroy PTI or force the government to relocate PTI to the North. The professor and his DFA ideology is to destroy the Institute. Too many crimes have been committed by the Chief executive since his assumption of office ranging from contract racketeering, embezzlement of Personnel money and swallowing of money meant for capital project without balance. Currently he and his DFA has absconded from duty since February, 2020, they are neither in Effurun nor in PTI. The total money embezzled under this Principal is between the tone of 3 billion 5 billion naira.
All the letters in petition sent to the ministry has been continuously ignored, this made him to boost that nothing will happen to him and he is untouchable.
It is also important to note that his tenure will expire by 25th of June, 2020 while his DFA tenure will expire by 2021.
The Great Urobo kingdom and all well meaning Nigerians both, staff, students and other management staff of PTI are calling on the Federal government through the Head of Service and Minister of State Petroleum to as a matter of urgency relief Prof. Sunny Iyuke and his DFA Mr Mafindi their job in PTI before the destroys PTI for us.
We are calling on the relevant security agencies to fasten their probe and subsequent imprisonment of the Prof and his Director of finance and account.
Note. ICPC AND EFCC has been on his financial recklessness since last year. His account and that of the DFA has been frozen and his international passport seized.
He ran away and abandoned his duty since February this year 2020 but they are receiving salary.
PTI was established in 1972 as a prerequisite for NIGERIA OPEC MEMBERSHIP.
A lot of great Urobo and Niger Delta people had fought for the retention of PTI in Effurun Delta State and we would not allow a south African professor to come and destroy our efforts.
Prof. Sunny Iyuke and Mr. Mafindi must go for PTI to move forward.
