*Edo Assembly: Neutrality of Reps C'ttee in doubt, as facts show Oshiomhole sponsored lawmakers's Benin trip*

There are doubts over the neutrality of the House of Representatives Committee set up to look into the issues in the Edo State House of Assembly as fresh facts linking the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Committee's activities have emerged.

Investigations revealed that Comrade Adams Oshiomhole sponsored the lawmakers' Benin trip aboard a private jet, marked 5N FCT, last week.

The Committee's capacity to do their work objectively has been called to question, more so with revelation by the younger brother to the APC national chairman, Saed Oshiomhole, that himself and other members-elect revolting against the Edo Assembly, have been given billions of naira to sustain the disagreement in the House of Assembly to ensure it degenerates into a big crisis.

In one of the revelations, Saed Oshiomhole, who spoke in English and pidgin said: "We are becoming more stronger now as who is who in Nigeria are now coming to our aid. Na money dey find us now, we no dey look for money. Na money come dey look for us, we dey even reject money now."

He added: "Dem dey give members( referring to the inaugurated assembly members) 5 million naira and that na official money. Them no know say GO (referring to Goveenor Godwin Obaseki) no fit give person one extra kobo. We don get five million, ten million, twenty thousand dollars, 15 thousand dollars. If na money, na we be money."

He continued in the taped conversation: "This matter when I dey tell you so, Speaker and Senate President, 24 hours them dey hold meetings with us. Philip (referring to Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, Edo State Deputy Governor) dey say him na Gbajamila man, him na Gbajamila man and I dey laugh am. Comrade( referring to APC National Chairman) when give Gbajamila candidature to come back. Comrade wey give Gbaja opportunity to come back and throw away Ambode. No be Comrade first tell Philip make e go follow Gbajamila, abi Philip first know Gbajamila before...?"

Saed Oshiomhole's revelation further fuels fears that the House of Representatives Committee set up to resolve the issues at the Edo Assembly may be teleguided to do the bidding of the APC national chairman, with endorsements from principal officers of the National Assembly.
