The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Interior Decorates First FFS DCG.

Barr. Georgina Ehuriah, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior decorates the first Deputy Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, DCG Quintus Gerald Azogu MIFire.E following his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He is elevated from the rank of Assistant Controller General of Fire (ACGF). Making him the second in command in the Federal Fire Service.

The event which took place today Monday at the A.B Dambazau Conference Centre, Nigeria Prisons Headquarters, Sauka, Abuja had in attendance the Controller Generals of Fire, Prisons, Immigration and Civil Defence, Commissioners of Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Board (CDFIPB) as well as other dignitaries.

DCG Azogu was decorated along side other DCGs from the Nigeria Prisons Service and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.

Speaking at the event , Barr. Georgina Ehuriah applauded President Buhari for the upliftment across the services. She commended the DCGs for their excellent performance during the rigorous exercises which herald their appointment. The Permanent Secretary also described them as worthy of the appointment, charging them to showcase exemplary lifestyles as they run with the vision of Muhammadu Buhari, detesting corruption in the discharge of their responsibilities.

While Presenting DCG Azogu for decoration, the Controller General, Federal Fire Service, Liman Ibrahim MIFire.E used the opportunity to congratulate the new DCGF describing his appointment as a well deserved one. He emphasized that Quintus Azogu is the first DCG the Service is producing and the only one at the moment.
