Gombe State Fire Service on Tuesday said that 12 lives and property worth N636 million were lost to fire between January and June, 2019. Deputy Operations Officer in the service, Mr Salihu Doho, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Gombe. Doho said that during the period under review, the service was able to save 491 lives, recorded 46 injuries and received 147 incident calls. According to him, the personnel of the service have been able to save property worth over N2 billion within the period under review.
