The northern elders have shown time and time again their support to kidnappings and other nefarious activities embarked upon by their youths. First, is the case of kidnapping of young Christian girls and converting them to Muslims as well as marrying them off without the consent of their parents. There are many examples to mention. i'm sure we have not forgotten the case of Ese Oruru which no one is talking about again now. The girl was kidnapped and kept hostage with a guy working directly with an emir. When the man got wind of the event, he informed the police and the case was taken to the police station and thereafter, the girl was handed over to the emir who married her off to his steward upon paying 50000 as bride price to the emir without the parents consent.
