Igbere TV just obtained the photos of a gallant Nigerian soldier who was among other soldiers that were killed by Boko Haram terrorists in the recent line of battle.


According to reports gathered by Igbere TV, Abdulazeez Mohammed who happens to be a Captain lost his life in recent ambush by Boko Haram in Borno state.


It was earlier reported on Thursday that six gallant soldiers were killed in an ambush by rebel fighters in northeast Nigeria's Borno state.

According to the reports, heavily armed fighters from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) group on Wednesday, opened fire on a patrol vehicle of soldiers who were on their way to Maiduguri from Damaturu, the capital of neighbouring Yobe state, when the rebels attacked them around 16:20 GMT, near Jakana, 30km from the state capital Maiduguri, killing all the soldiers on board.


The attack was repelled by soldiers at the base, with ISWAP fighters abandoning weapons and one vehicle as they fled.

Igbere TV gathers that the attacks came hours after a military chief in the northeast warned "terrorists" in the region to disarm or be destroyed.



The Nigerian army has channeled a great deal of its resources to ensure that the war against Boko Haram ends.


So many soldiers and civilians have been lost within the course of the war and the battle is beginning to seem like one which will end in a Pyrrhic victory for the nation.

God bless our troops. They are out there enduring terrible conditions, dying everyday to secure our freedoms while some people in Abuja are swallowing resources meant for them to secure victory easily and playing politics with their lives It's not easy to be a soldier in this country, especially officers that do field work. Anytime you meet a soldier, please show them respect and be nice to them. They go through a lot. The government barely takes care of them the way it ought to be and they still sacrifice their lives for us.

In Nigeria, where people don't even love their country, a man will accept to fight a sect that has informants in their own military formations. Not only are there 5th columnists, they are even poorly armed, fighting a sect that has teamed up the world's most dreaded terror group, ISIL.

Sincerely, I don't know how they usually convince these soldiers to get involved in this war upon seeing all these failings, but if I were these guys, the minute I am deployed to Maidugri, I will tender my resignation. Yes, I have seen people do it!

Boko Haram was worse during Jonathan's time, so don't even go there abeg.
