The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has celebrated its vice-presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on his 58th birthday, Igbere TV reports.

The party tweeted on Friday, praying for Mr Obi for more years of service to Nigeria.

“#PeterObiAt57 Hurray! The Vice Presidential Candidate of the @OfficialPDPNig and former Governor of Anambra State, @PeterObi is 57 years today. We wish him many more years of service to our nation Nigeria and pray for God’s abundant blessings upon his life. Happy birthday Sir,” the party said, though erroneously putting his age at 57.

Obi had said he would celebrate his birthday on Friday at the presidential election tribunal in Abuja.

The move is away from the former Anambra State governor’s tradition of celebrating with school children.
