Imported from Germany? Why not let it be known, that it was imported from Britain, and it's been converted from RHD to LHD? As long as the conversion was properly done (I'm sure it was, vans are easier to convert than cars) what's the big deal? This Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was imported from Britain, as shown below:

It may be noted, the year of manufacture (2002) does not correlate to the date of first registration (06-04-2009). Maybe she sat for 7 years at a Mercedes dealership unsold?  undecided Possibly. What's of interest here though, is the fact she's a British-spec vehicle, and as such would have begun life as a RHD vehicle, before she was subsequently converted to LHD. Please, make prospective buyers aware your vehicle is an ex-British spec van, and an ex-RHD. The only reason one would give the impression, the vehicle they're selling is from Germany, would be (in my opinion) it creates the impression it was LHD from the start, when clearly it wasn't.

Of course, it'll always be bump. And you'll ignore the blunder you made with your advert, in terms of the origin of the vehicle? Don't you feel you owe it to your prospective buyers to tell them things as they are? Why not refute what I've posted, prove me wrong, if indeed I am?

Can you give any clarification, on the other issues I raised, as in the country of origin of this vehicle, as well as whether it's been converted from RHD to LHD?

The car was imported from Germany as LHD.

Okay. So, how do you then explain the British registration, as well as all the other details held on DVLA's database? It comes up as "Export". This means it was exported from Britain. The table above shows details of your Sprinter.

Are you saying those details are wrong? How would a German-spec vehicle end up with British registration plates? Unless the vehicle's a clone?

Things are making less sense!

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter advertised here, whilst being pretty clean for a commercial vehicle, has some obscure history attached. The seller, Chuddy, claims this vehicle was imported from Germany, and as such, would have started life as a genuine LHD vehicle. However, the registration is British, and comes up in checks as having been exported from Britain, not Germany, as the seller claims. This means it would have left Stuttgart, Germany, as a RHD British-specification vehicle in 2001.

So three possible scenarios here:

1) It's a British-specification van, been converted from RHD to LHD, driven to Germany, and exported from there to Nigeria.
2) It's a bonafide LHD, German-specification vehicle, with sketchy history, exported from Germany WITH British registration plates.
3) It's a British-specification van, been converted from RHD to LHD, exported from Britain, and the seller's too dishonest to say so.

Either way, the seller's successfully side-tracked my concerns, which leads me to conclude there's more to this van than it appears on here. Chuddy, you've had ample time to respond, and I'm sorry if I come across as harsh. But, I won't sit back, and see innocent Nairalanders, or guests on this forum, be taken advantage of. We all know LHD vehicles command higher premiums than RHD ones, or even converted RHD's.

This is probably a old post but in defense of the OP. The following could have occurred

[li]The van could have been shipped from Germany to UK _ Many UK residents do this as it allows them to fill it up with their own goods and makes it a better Financial opportunity
