It is important to note that the security of Nigerians is the sole responsibility of the police force, however, Nigerians on social media have recently expressed disbelief that the South West with its once-formidable security outfit – the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), has become a toothless bulldog with criminals like the Fulani herdsmen doing as they please in the region.

These Nigerians have claimed that the OPC which has a history of being a dreaded association that has usurped the police in the past to provide security in times of crisis has disappeared, and that what we have left is a group that enjoys making threats and ‘noise,’ while herdsmen kill their people one after the other.
