The Coalition of APC Candidates for the 2019 Anambra State House of Assembly election has congratulated Barr. Mrs. Sharon Ikeazor, a great indigene of the state and APC stalwart, on her recent nominations for position of a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

This was contained in a statement signed by the state coordinator of the group, Hon. Paul Ezeobi, in which they described the appointment as well-deserved, given Barr. Sharon's antecedents and performances in the different positions she has held in the past, both at the national and international levels, especially in her positions as a former National Women Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), and the Executive Secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate, (PTAD), among other top positions.

According to them, this particular gesture of President Buhari has proved his interest in giving women more voice and opportunities in his administration and in the national service, and also justified his broad-mindedness and adherence to the principle of Federal Character in distribution of powers and positions.

The group noted without doubt that the nominee will scale through the National Assembly screening and be confirmed a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as her integrity, personality, reputation and excellent record will surely speak for her.

Thanking President Buhari for appointing two Anambrarians into his cabinet, the coalition further pledged their consummate support to Barr. Ikeazor, and their unshakable loyalty to the party, even as they prayed for God's wisdom and direction in her discharge of her ministerial functions.
