"Come child" said the old man to Jane who wasn't sure where she was or how she got here, she remembered changing into her night gown, she also remembered climbing into her bed and switching off the bedpost lamps. She wasn't scared, she had always had nightmares her entire life, it had become her inevitable fate to sleep and dream of empty strange places, except this time there was another person in the room, the old man who was now only a few feet away from Jane reached out with his old wrinkly hands and touched the Teenager's forehead with the tip of his index finger."Now Awaken my dear" he whispered in Jane's ear.

Jane sprang up from the bed and quickly dashed to the toilet where she vomited uncontrollably for five minutes, when she regained control all she could do was stagger back to the room looking disorganized, the time was 3:05am and the half empty vodka bottle sitting on the small table close to the bed brought back memories of the previous night celebrations. Jane Ello turned eighteen yesterday and her friends ChaCha and Kelly made sure she would never forget it, they brought bottles of alcohol to drink and a bag of cannabis to blow away in style. At the very end they all got so high and drunk, their boyfriends had to drive them home. Now the sight of Alcohol made her sick, so she put it into one of her clothes drawers.

The Backup generator had been running since the previous nights party, Jane's steward Silas was as obedient as they came, he used to work for her Father until her parents died in an Air crash, the loss of her parents came as a shock to her mostly because of the way it happened, "Airplane carrying 8 people crashes killing 2" "...Billionaire Couple, only casualties in Air crash" read the local news reports the morning following the incident. Young Jane was only 13 and in junior Secondary school when it happened.
At that age losing one's parents usually opens the floodgates of interference from the outside world, a vacuum that a 13 year old girl could never fill. Her late father was the oldest of 4 brothers and after his funeral the surviving siblings consulted with his attorney and tried to swing the inheritance to their favor, Together they designed a system that would allow the surviving oldest brother to have the significant share of the wealth and the rest shared between the two younger brothers, this pecking order would also go down through each brother based on seniority down to the last brother in case of the demise of anyone of them. Barely four days after hatching the plot, all three of Jane's Uncles died while drinking and feasting at a wedding they had gone to, The police medical examiner said "Alcoholic poisoning" was the cause, it was enough for the case to be dropped
