The Shiites are exhibiting lawlessness and violence and needs to be checked but we all know that the case is more religious than political.

THE STUPID, DELUDED WAILING WAILERS ARE RALLYING SHAMEFUL SUPPORT FOR THE SHITES.

If u are not living ur life in resentfulness, then what do we make of this statement u made? For ur information, there wasn't Nigeria, there is no Nigeria and there will no be Nigeria. If u say there is Nigeria, it means it exists with nothing denoting it's a nation. U can choose to be so pretentious about it but u know in ur inner mind that Nigeria is a huge joke to be called a nation. Let the tyrant continue with his repressive approach to governance. Tagging every group that differs from his religious intolerance, coupled with ur slave and unrepentant support, he will be much emboldened. I can assure u that not too long from now, this emboldening of his must cause an outcome and that outcome is nothing but parting of ways from this contraption called Nigeria.
God bless you and your entire generation

I have been waiting for a known PDP figure to speak against the proscription of the terrorist group. PDP is evil. I repeat, PDP members are evildoers. They are the one funding this Shiite terrorist group. God almighty will protect us from this evil gathering called PDP.
And you sure say you well like this.

Igbos generally hates injustice. You sound stupid but if you were killed unjustly tomorrow by the army I won't support it, no true Igbo man or woman will support such. We are progressive and we hate anarchy!

You are just empty noise makers who believes so much in failed causes without sitting down to meditate deeply and plan.

This topic is about the Shiites being designated as terrorists. You are saying they carry machetes and make sparks on the ground. This making a joke of a serious issue such as terrorism which claims thousands of lives in Nigeria every year

How would the the people of Agatu in Benue feel if they are talking about how over 500 of them were murdered in 2016 by rampaging AK47 wielding Fulani herdsmen and you are talking about people making sparks with machetes?

You government is proscribing those making sparks and offering Ruga to those killing people

Nigeria we hail
Nobody defends what he does not know. Stop unnecessary argument. I pointed out your error & you cannot accept, yet your type blame other leaders. You don't know 10% of what we know about Shiites.Just keep quiet & don't look for unrelated point to argue. Just go and ask people in Zaria , that is if you even know the Town. Naira land is not enough to prove your case. NB; They carry weapons & will attack anybody that come their way. You don't know them just keep quiet please. The argument is not about any government or Rugs or Benue, but to correct your wrong claims.Nothing look or sound like a joke here. Its people like you that rely on little or no knowledge to generalise cases.

- A person, group, or organization that uses violent action, or the threat of violent action, to further political goals; frequently in an attempt to coerce either a more powerful opponent, (such as a citizen or group targeting a government), or conversely, a weaker opponent, (such as a government, or even an internal citizen or group, being targeted by a larger government).

I don't see any difference BTW dis group and the stated category that determined Terrorist group.

Don't digress, If the government is wrong in its action/inaction does that put you in position to lie? You know little or nothing about Shiites so talk less of them. The Benue , Ruga, etc is not what I try to correct but your misleading info that Shiite don't carry weapon. Don't digress from the main argument. People like you mislead the country.I still urge you to go to Zaria town & enquire about them & not try to be a mediator on Naira land.

You are being overly emotional ..

You cannot refuse to recognise the government and and at the same time obey the laws... sad the two events are not mutually exclusive..

Also, even the Muslim student society are armed with dangerous weapons..I saw them in oau Ife in the 90's when a few friends and I organized a beauty paegent..

The Shiites are highly armed with IED"s and automatic weapons just like their brothers the miyeti Allah...

Ipob too was forcing people to join ...and extorting civilians on the highway - it was never going to end well..
Jeez... How did you know the shiites are armed? Ogbeni easy up with ur baseless point. The whole world knows the Shiites has never confronted the security operatives with arms. They just need thier leader thats all. Even we Nigerians have been begging buhari to release thier leader but the drab president just won't. Now you are proscribing an harmless group as terrorists. Is that not abuse of power.

They are all terrorist groups!
A group does not need guns or bombs to perpetrate terror.
All they need is fear, threats, and threats of violence for political or ideological reasons.
We have not forgotten the reign of terror of Ipob boys on highways and markets.
Fulani herdsmen would then be called what.

I'm worried about the number of crazy people who are parading themselves as Lawyers in Nigeria. What exactly makes the Shiites or IMN a terrorist group? Did the Shiites declare any Republic within Nigeria? No! And even if they did, that is not what makes a group terrorist.

It is not a must that a person must recognize the sovereignty or government of a country. What matters is if the person keeps to the laws of the country. I dont even know how not voting is terrorism. To be a military personnel, one must be armed. I have never seen Shiites with arms and nobody has ever said they have been seen with arms either.

It seems that these people dont know what terrorism is. That's why herdsmen are slaughtering people daily and government wants to give them Ruga

Terrorism is when a group is going out to destroy lives and property in other to achieve a political aim. Neither IPOB nor Shiites has used violence to achieve any political aim

What has happened to IPOB and Shiites is that they go out to exercise their constitutional right to protest and they clash with the security forces which turns violent sometimes. This is not terrorism. A terrorist organisation dies not wait to clash with the authorities before being violent. A terrorist group goes out to be violent

Neither IPOB or Shiites are terrorists
When I read the first line of your write-up, I was going to challenge your position but I read further, I discovered you were arguing in support of Ozekhome, who made plenty of sense with his argument and so had to quickly like your position. May God deliver from a government that use deodorant on their supporters and insecticide on people with opposing views.

References:
Constitutional lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN has said that the proscription of the Shii’tes religious group by the federal government is illegal and unconstitutional.

Speaking with Vanguard, Ozekhome said that the action of the government through the court was highly discriminatory.

He said, “The proscription by the government of the Shii’tes religious group is highly discriminatory, unconstitutional, as was the case of IPOB. What group could be more terrorist than the Herdsmen and their known anchor, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association that has held Nigeria down by the jugular for years killing, maiming, burning, raping, turning Nigeria into a crimson field of bloodbath?

“Until the government bans and outlaws these, it is certainly not serious. They are demanding for the release of their leader still kept in government dungeon in spite of several Court orders.

“The Shii’te group is a religious group, like the President’s Sunni group. It is not an Association that could be banned. Section 10 of the Nigerian Constitution makes Nigeria a secular State. you can’t ban religion, a people’s belief.

“There is also freedom of thought, conscience and religion in section 38, while sections 40 and 41 allow for freedom of movement and Association. The Constitution is ruthlessly being shredded by an intolerant and overbearing civilian dictatorship.’

The challenge right now..is that the Buhari led govt. Is daft on how to handle the IMN or Shiites..

Unfortunately for them, majority of the citizens are directly or indirectly by their side and it is a globally practiced faith, how can you proscribed such?

There is now a public sympathy which is growing by the day and exposing the weakness of this regime which is non-tolerant to opposing and dissenting views.

Unfortunately also..the Buhari led govt. does not know how a federation should look like.
The beauty of a federation is how to handle issues like this to the national advantage.
They are so insecure that they can't tolerate which is a
sign of dictatorship.

Worse of all, the Judiciary have now complicated and ridiculed itself by giving this kind of judgement not appropriate at this time.

No matter how hard PMB tries, it is IMPOSSIBLE to silence a religion or a belief system esp. if they are unarmed and the public have sympathy for them and practiced globally.

Our major fear now is that this call of 'LET our leader go' should not spill ball into a REVOLUTION because as it stands now..which ever side you are.. majority of fellow Nigerians and citizens are frustrated with the Nigerian project and her system. All over the country and it's regions, there is an increasing Call for a major change and shift from the normal.

PMB might be unknowingly fast tracking and increasing frustration and the will to rise and vent anger on the Nigerian project.

I pray wisdom prevails and History should not repeat itself.

Any how you see it, a time is coming, in this country-Nigeria, now or later, REVOLUTION will happen and it is getting more clearer why is should happen and a group will fast track that REVOLUTION.

Only if this regime have sufficient Wisdom, but unfortunately there is none.
