Delegations of European Union to Nigeria has expressed worries over the continued incarceration and detention of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky who is the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria.

EU in a statement, urged the federal government to release El-Zakzaky as ordered after several rulings by Federal High Court in Abuja.

“The EU Heads of Mission note that the decision by a Federal High Court in Abuja ordering Mr. Ibrahim El-Zakzaky’s immediate release from custody by the State Security Service has not been enforced.
“The EU underlines the universality of fundamental human rights, which includes the right to a fair trial and freedom from arbitrary detention. We find it worrying that Mr. Zakzaky has been detained for more than a year without having been brought to Justice.
“We therefore urge the Nigerian authorities to ensure Mr. Zakzaky is released in accordance with the ruling of the court or is charged formally in accordance with Nigerian law and faces an impartial and balanced trial without further delay,” the statement said.
The EU said it is important that the findings made by all past or ongoing investigations into the violence that occurred in Zaria in December 2015 are published.

According to the statement gathered by Eastern Times, EU urged that all those responsible for the violence must be prosecuted according to the law and that anyone found guilty must be sentenced accordingly.
“The right to peaceful assembly and association, as well as the right to free speech is enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution. The EU Heads of Mission also remind Nigeria that it is essential to promote religious tolerance and respect religious rights.
“We will continue to follow the judicial situation of Mr. Zakzaky and his wife closely,” EU head commission added.

I can't comprehend the reasons why some people are supporting Buhari on this evil. The man called M. Buhari is just instituting another group of terrorists without exposing his plans to his brainless fanatics.

After 4 years, He ll surely vacate the Aso Rock dom. Or is he an immortal being ?
Who ll face the fracas, the broken hearts ? You and I .

Think Think Think !

Buhari himself is a recipe for anarchy.

Nothing new will come out from the next four years, except more death, hopelessness, unrest, strife etc.

A government can change ministers in order to appear new, but change cannot take place in the true sense of the word as long as the ADVISERS remain the same.

We may not like the IMN or Shiites for personal reasons, but this is law. A government cannot disobey a court order which is law by other means, then turn around to apply that law to same people that they have cheated.

Evil/injustice in Nigeria is always supported by a section of the country, but one thing is certain, evil or injustice will always find those that refuse to speak up or condemn it when they have the means to do so.

Maybe we are not watching, PROTEST is now a terrorist offense in Nigeria as it is currently being suggested by the Nigerian government. Those that their voices deserve to be heard, those that continue to suffer injustice in the hands of those elected to protect them will one day rise in unison.

Our Judiciary, is it even a Judiciary? It is more or less a night club where the finest strippers always get what they want....

If not, why would a Judge grant the prayers of a government that has refused to obey the order of another Judge.

It was suppose to be simple, go and obey court order before you can have this one.

Shiites may not be who we want them to be, but this is law, this is a democracy where every interest, every life, opinions and by extension, every rights count.

A government cannot tell the people how to behave in a Democracy, it is only the LAW that can do that...
