I have been pondering a memorable goal highlight to bring to our football fans all week and i have found the right one ��

Exactly 25 years ago, our very own Jay Jay Okocha scored arguably one of the greatest goal till date against possibly one of the best goalkeepers of all time, and after that, he celebrated doing the ZANKU DANCE ��

You can imagine how big this goal was


BACKGROUND
The legendary Okocha was plying his trade at German club side Eintracht Frankfurt.

Sadly racism was a hallmark in Germany and black players at that time suffered abuse on every match day. Okocha was unfortunately one of these players.

Annoyed at what he saw as an unfair treatment of black people, ‘our man promised to dribble these white people till they eat grass.’

And he did just that!


ABOUT THE GOAL (SAY NO TO RACISM)
In a must win match against rivals Karlsruhe, a determined Okocha dazzled into the penalty box and dribbled every living thing coming his way, including goalkeeper Oliver Khan before slotting the ball into the net. And then, just then, he did the ZANKU Dance!

The Goal was voted best goal by many sport magazines that year.
