Job Title: Boat Captain

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose:
The Boat Captain will be responsible for the safety and well-being of both the crew and passengers, and the safe and efficient operation and management of the boat.

Job responsibilities are not limited to;
 Planning and implementing maintenance work.
 Prepares standard vessel logs, papers, and reports; maintains records regarding the boat’s engines,
 Responsible for the overall safety of the crew, boat, passenger, and cargo.
Monitor the crew to the extent necessary to be reasonably certain that everyone aboard the vessel is knowledgeable of and in compliance with the drug and alcohol, pollution, safety, and other company policies.
 Ensure boat equipment and are kept in optimum operating conditions to warrant an efficient operation.
 Ensure that the crew is provided with clear direction and performance standards and is staffed, trained and motivated to meet set targets.

Qualification / Experience
 Must have considerable 3 or more years maritime experience and training
 Minimum Secondary School Leaving Certificate, Quartermaster Certificate and Marine Safety Certificate
