What does this mean. Legal luminaries please help us.

Either
INEC is doing a No Case submission which means Atikus's case claim is so baseless that there is nothing to say about it. Or INEC can provide defence without the need of calling outside withnesses

Did you read the write-up bros?

INEC said there was no need for a witness since the prosecutors couldn't come up with something good.

They are mocking Atiku and the PDP.

I feel INEC might know where this whole tribunal thing is leading to and they choose not to loose a sleep over it. ( Knowing the final outcome from the onset owing to who's on power).

I am not sure you are referring to the just concluded election; Atiku lost woefully. Buhari/Osinbajo won!

Maybe there's nothing to defend. That shows you how useless and empty Atiku's case has been, so pathetic that they defeated their case by themselves and INEC doesn't even want to waste its time trying to establish its defense.

Thank you.God bless.

I am no legal luminary but I believe INEC is saying that Atiku and PDP have not made out a case known under the extant laws regulating elections in Nigeria and therefore there is no reason to help them make out one or join their comic reliefs of the past weeks.

That was the same Way they didn't call any witness in the Osun trial.

That was their same position in Osun's case. They should be neutral.
