First Lady Aisha Buhari has mourned Channels TV reporter, Precious Owolabi, who was killed last Monday during a protest by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).

Owolabi, 23, who was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), was buried last Thursday at the Wusasa cemetery, Zaria, Kaduna State, Igbere TV reports.

Mrs Buhari, on Monday, shared a video of the visit of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to the deceased’s family on Sunday.

“May Precious Owolabi’s gentle soul rest in perfect peace & may God grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Amen,” she wrote on Instagram.

Osinbajo was accompanied on the visit by Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna.

Osinbajo described Owolabi’s death as a national tragedy that would never be forgotten in history.
