More worrisome is the information that he is trying to seek a common ground for a neutral speaker to emerge. That would amount to political suicide. The commonnspeaker will not last two sittings, he will be impeached.
If by now Obaseki does not understand the politics of governors controlling their houses of assembly, he should put a call each to Ambode and Ortom. Ambode is where he is now because he has Zero control over the house. So they haunted him all through. Ortom would have been impea8if he did not take control of the BSHA. Even Udom of Akwa-Ibim will tell you the same thing. To retire a godfather, take hold of ESHA.
Even Oshomole would not have taken that advice. Neither would Fayemi and Elrufai that are pressuring him to toes this line.
My advice to Obaseki, if he reads this is. Insist on what you have done. The house is already inaugurated. Anyone not happy with it can go to court. If the matter gets to Supreme Court and you are demanded to issue another proclamation, so be it. Then it vecomes a legal reference for future administration.
If Obaseki loses control of the state Assembly, he should as well kiss government house goodbye. Do not be intimidated by Dangote and Elrufai. Elrufai controls his house of assembly, Fayemi controls his. If you lose control, you are done for.
