AE-FUNAI FINE AND APPLIED ARTS FINAL YEAR STUDENTS HOLD EXHIBITION
• VC Acquires Portrait of Dr. Alex Ekwueme
Final year students of Fine and Applied Arts of Alex-Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, who have just concluded their final written examination, yesterday 30th July, 2019, held exhibition of their handi-work in the various specific areas of training, as part of their final practical examination.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba, who, despite his usual busy schedule made out time to lead some officers of the university to witness the exhibition. VC and his entourage were taken round the different stands by Head of Department, Dr. Ephraim Ugochukwu. At the FAA studio, Chiaka Nnodi, (Lecturer,) presented different tie and dye and other woven fabrics made by the students. Some of the final year students whose stands were visited included Chisom Dikebuenyi, Ike Faith Ijeoma, Ekuma Williams, and Agha Cynthia Nnenna, ( Instructor / Technology) showcased the works, ranging from graphics, sculpture, ceramics, metal work, paintings, etc.

The very excited Vice- Chancellor gave his words of encouragement and advice, when he told the exhibitors and their instructors that they are fortunate to be in one discipline that has opportunity for entrepreneurship. He promised to continue to support the department in various ways to enhance their performance.

Highlights of Vice- Chancellor’s visit included his promise to provide better accommodation for the department. He encouraged Ike Faith Ijeoma by offering her production of AE-FUNAI Parents Forum 2020 calendar. Prof. Nwajiuba was so much attracted to a big portrait of His Excellency, Dr. Alex-Ekwueme, GCON, erstwhile Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, whom the university is named after, that he went on to purchase the portrait for placement on the wall at Administrative Block.
