Suspected armed bandits have killed two soldiers at Dogon Dawa village in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Two civilians including a youth leader were also killed by the assailants during a siege that lasted several hours on Thursday. The One Division of the Nigerian Army has yet to confirm the incident. An indigene of Dogon Dawa, however, told Channels Television on Friday that the bandits attacked the soldiers during an ambush, and later shot at them with a rocket-propelled grenade. Some others said to have been injured during the attack have been moved to a military hospital in the Kaduna state capital. According to eyewitnesses, the bandits trailed and killed the youth leader and his friend at his farm in Kuduru village. When the news got to the security operatives deployed to the area, the soldiers who were quickly moved to the village were said to have been ambushed by the suspects. https://all-gists..com/2019/08/suspected-bandits-kill-two-soldiers-civilians-in-kaduna.html 1 Like 1 Share

So bandits now use RPG's. OP, a RPG is is a weapon used against mass troops when fitted with a frag warhead or against armour or hardened defences with a conventional HEAT or squash warhead. It is a serious piece of war kit. These find no applications in the hands of bandits. Bandits donot prepare to engage with this sort of fire power. These folks are on a war status. Let us call it/them for what they are, insurgents. There is a low level armed conflict going on in the middle of Nigeria. It is no longer restricted to the north-east. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Very unfortunate By the way, where are those lazy soldiers that went to invade a town in Bayelsa because of the crime of a few. Haven't they heard of the endless assult on their brothers in the North. 1 Like |

PrinceKevin01: Not in a million years. The government is saddened by the development. But the love the head of this same government has for the ethnic group perpetuating this evil is stronger than the love he has for Nigeria. And because of these facts, nobody dare openly challenge these known Fulani insurgents. 3 Likes |
