The chicken is coming home to roast. Dark cloud is gathering. Who will bail the cat. So many wrong steps. Why are people in government intolerant to criticism

Hope you do realize that Nairaland is not an NGO but a private business establishment that also needs to be profitable.

Corruption has grown to be an Ideology in Nigeria.

Any revolution in Nigeria would create a new type of corrupt system.

Those craving for revolution are the unfavoured class, they are singing: " "Do something new in my life'

Those against revolution are the favoured, their song is simple: "It shall be permanent, what the lord has done for me, it shall be permanent*

Whereas, some of us are at the centre of the Spectrum, whether revolution or not, we just need our share of the large cake, whether revolution or reforms.

Why I now say , corruption is ideological is that the two cries or songs are products of interest

First of all, I ignore those post because I'm not one of the audience and prospective clients they seek for and they certainly do have their audience and I'm sure they are also getting patronized from members on this platform.

Secondly, if they are paying Nairaland to publicize their goods and service's, do you honestly think Nairaland will decline to take their offer?

Though there is a dedicated section for adverts but in the world of advertising, you get more value for your money when your ads are placed on sections with high viewership.

On moral grounds your concerns are very legitimate but from business perspective, morality most times becomes relegated which also could be Nairaland's business model.

I am of the opinion that Nigeria can still be better than this. How I wish we could start all over again. The wealth of our country is in the hands of a few. Millions are still in higher institutions across the nation and beyond, hoping to get a job that is not there in the first place. Entrepreneurial skills must be inculcated from primary education so as to diffuse the idea of jobs "working for someone" "modern slavery" in the minds of EVERYONE IN SCHOOL. I rest my case

Mark my words my friend, Nigeria will never be better than this. It will continue to get worse.
Get yourself out of that country if you have the opportunity. Run.! and don't look back

It with never change. There is no plan for change. Our leaders and followers are one of the finest and corrupt in the world.

Na padi padi. From Lagos to Maiduguri to the East. Nothing will ever change.
Nigeria as a country is a Fraud. It's doomed from the beginning..

The leaders, be it political or religious don't give a Bleep.

I knew this for a fact for the past 15 years. The leaders and the followers are very corrupt.

Nothing can be done to cure the backwardness of sub-Saharan African nations. We are at least 300 to 400 years behind the least developed country in the developed world. Those who are protesting today also want to be part of the ruling elite so that they too can have access to the nation's wealth. Well, there is nothing wrong with that afterall life is all about struggle. But they should be prepared for stern resistance from those who currently control the system. I also want to be part of the ruling elite because I have realized that Nigeria has neither the technology nor the money to create wealth for the great majority, hence, the struggle for the little ones nature has blessed us with. For those who are criticizing let them continue with their criticism, those who are enjoying the wealth will continue to enjoy.

Hmmm. It's not today government and people who are against the government sponsor people to protest in favour of or against whatever they like or don't like.

All this condemnation won't do us any good. It's now a norm some people who aren't happy with this present administration want to do anything to tarnish the image.

Before this administration came into power, we didn't see the leaders holding protest or trying to cause civil unrest like we see today.

Anybody who isn't happy should form a political party and contest election, rather than disturbing the peace of hard working Nigerians.

If someone is being sponsored to force the government to do something on security or force the legislators to reduce their salaries and bogus allowances, then it's a welcome "sponsorship"

This is a very GREAT POST... we can still be better only if the youth can unite regardless of tribal differences and claim our right for a better life and future... our counterparts in other countries are way ahead of us. If the economy progresses and provides jobs you will see the full capacity of the Nigerian people. No youth is lazy.. all they need is opportunity.

Senator Shewu Sanni you are one of the multi millionaires
in Naigeria at N15 million per month as a Nigerian Senator ( courtesy Prof. Sagay ) while Nigerian workers are not worth even N18000 per month thereby making Nigeria the poorest Country in the world.
