A 100 level female student of Ekiti State University, identified as Sherifat Idris, from the department of Physics, Faculty of Sciences was rescued by vigilante group of Nigeria, from suspected kidnappers around Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti. She was recused by the group following a tip off from a member of the public under the leadership of Akin Olouloni. It was reported that a passer-by who saw the suspected kidnappers while whisky away the victim informed the vigilante group at Ogbonado office in the state capital. The report and quick respond of the group lead to the rescue of the victim while the kidnappers escaped.
