Gistring:
Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II on Saturday August 3, received his 4th wife HRH Sa’adatu Barkindo Mustapha.

Emir Sanusi II had married the daughter of Lamido of Adamawa Muhammadu Barkindo-Mustafa, in a low-key ceremony which was held in Yola on September 25, 2015. HRH Sa’adatu Barkindo Mustapha was only an 18-year-old secondary school leaver when her royal wedding was held.

Now a graduate of a University in the United Kingdom, Sa’adatu was received at the Kano first-class Monarch's palace after being away for four years. Her Quranic graduation ceremony was held yesterday, and it was learnt that her traditional Budar Kai ceremony is currently ongoing.

The Emir of Kano's other wives include Sadiya, daughter of the late Emir of Kano Dr. Ado Abdullahi Bayero, Maryam and Rakiya. Here are more photos below;

Why wasn't she sent to study in Saudi or Yemen or Iran?

Northern elites have succeeded in brainwashing and keep their people down with Koran, Islamic extremism, poverty, backwardness and religious intolerance.

But through northern elites keeping northern masses down, the northern elites also keep every ethnic group of Nigeria down.

One Nigeria with northern region is a curse for the southern regions of Nigeria.

who else noticed the serious contrast between the bride and the women surrounding her...do these guys take care of their own differently (separately)?

That is what makes the difference

The educated emir sent her to get more knowledge in a foreign school and the illiterate ones among them keep marrying without even taking them to school

Having four wives, especially one less than a third of your age, is promiscuity.

Don't mind the fools and hypocrites. I wonder why a sane person would want to be a muslim.

A curse for Africa, not just Nigeria. You see how the Boko Haram menace has spread to Cameroon.

So sanusi is an "intelligent adult" yet "marrying" an 18year old after 3 wives wasn't an uncomfortable venture. If he could that, wetin come remain? And u asking me to b reasonable. U are funny

The Northern elite are all related by blood. The more children and descendants they have from these bloodlines, the more people they have to occupy the positions of power in Nigeria in the future. They are the ruling class.

Emir Sanusi II had married the daughter of Lamido of Adamawa Muhammadu Barkindo-Mustafa, the traditional ruler in Adamawa State since 2010 and former chairman of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (2003–2005)

Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo (born in Yola, Adamawa State) is OPEC Secretary General since 2016 and served as Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NNPC (January 2009 - April 2010).

The Adamawa Emirate was founded in 1809 by the Fulani spiritual leader Modibbo Adama. He led a jihad into the region of Fombina (in modern-day Cameroon and Nigeria), opening the region for Fulani colonisation. As a result of Adama's constant warring, the Fulani today make up the largest ethnic group in Northern Cameroon (at more than 60% of the region's entire population, considering the fact that they weren't from the area), and Islam is now the dominant religion.

Same way the fulanis have become the largest and most influential tribe in the North-east, most influential in politics in Northern Nigeria and Nigeria at large.

Fulanis although a minority in Bauchi control the state completely, only them produce governor. They knew this would be hard for them in Gombe & Adamawa because of the larger & numerous christian tribes there, hence they decided to use islamic unity with muslims from other tribes to make sure the christians are suppressed.
They have tried so hard to take over Taraba, but Kwararafa kingdom will never let them.
They know they can never overtake Kanuris in Borno & Yobe, hence they don't mind leaving Boko Haram to overrun the place.

That's an interesting perspective on the Boko Haram crisis. It seems it might be a ploy to overwhelm the Kanuri people in Borno and Yobe states for eventual take over by the Fulani in the future.

There is also a view that has to do with the numerous uranium deposits (used in nuclear reactors) in the North Eastern areas where Boko Haram have control over. There are many local and international power brokers involved in the events happening in Borno and Yobe. Unfortunately the soldiers being sent to those areas are being led like sheep to slaughter.

Kanuris of today are a very foolish tribe. They were not conquered by the fulanis, but as of today, they have lost their voice to the fulanis all in the name of islamic oneness. They no longer have an agenda of their own.

Fulanis still have their Miyetti Allah meant to champion their own interests outside that of a joint Arewa, but a Kanuri body meant to champion Kanuri interests in non existent.

Your 2nd paragraph makes a lot of sense. It seems very likely.

It is quite unfortunate but all the ethnic groups in the Northern have been subjugated by the Fulani since Uthman dan Fodio conquered them between 1804 and 1808.

The Fulani in Nigeria are the proxy rulers of the country on behalf of the British. The Igbo nation fought a war to escape their subjugation but their attempt was sabotaged by some other ethnic groups in Nigeria and foreign nations.

Your first paragraph is false.

The Kanuris, Benue-Kogi, Plateau-Southern Kaduna and much of Taraba-Adamawa & Nasarawa tribes and even Southern Gombe/Southern Borno were never conquered by the fulanis in any way whatsoever before the British came.
It was under the British system of indirect rule that many of these tribes lost their voices and came under emirates. About half of the tribes above still never came under fulani rule even during colonial era like my people from Plateau state whom the British wanted to place under Bauchi emirate rulership, but we heavily protested and got our own chiefdoms.

Fulanis have so much power in Northern Nigeria because they control the Hausas who are the largest tribe in Northern Nigeria, this is not rocket science. Worse of all, they started using religion and this has to work for them cos majority of northernerns are muslims.

Yes, most of the other Southern & middlebelt tribes who sabotaged the Igbos never saw what was coming. Also, the Igbos made the agenda look like a selfish one.

Had it been Ojukwu used Gideon Orkar's format, he would have gained the allegiance and unity of the south/middlebelt against the core-north.

Good to hear your tribe is not under Fulani domination unlike some other ethnic groups and nations in the Northern part of the country.
