Hello Sir/Ma, I am Timi. I am very glad that you are reading this right now. I am currently stuck with my group design project which is titled, "DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN AUTOMATIC GATE CONTROL SYSTEM VIA LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION". This project is to be built using a Raspberry Pi due to the computational might of the License plate recognition aspect. My Group has successfully written a working code to extract the license plate numbers using OpenCv in Python for the optical character recognition. But now I have a lot of questions/Problems :-

1. We are having a slight issue with the installation of OpenCv on the RaspberryPi
2. How do we connect the extracted License plate to an SQL database on the RaspberryPi
3. We also want to use an IR sensor which will trigger the camera to take the picture of the license plate. HOW do we interface all of this with the RaspBerry Pi
4. And also, for the gate part, How do we use the servomotor with the RaspBerry Pi to only open after completion of the entire process..


I am utterly sorry for sounding like a Novice right now, because I am under complete pressure. But I know we have a lot of Geniuses on this platform and I will be very glad if I can just get some help or enlightenment on this Project.

I don't really know much about Raspberry but I would advise you to go and post your question on technology/ICT section. You will surely get a favourable answer to your question.
