A woman and not less than 2 persons have escaped death after running into a deep pothole in the middle of the road along Murtala Mohammed Highway, Calabar, Cross River State capital.

PARADISE NEWS gathered that the incident occurred on Monday night when a woman identified as Violet Ada ran into the pothole by New State Secretariat, Calabar and her vehicle summersaulted, leaving her in coma.

Ada, the Driver of the vehicle was said to be rescued by some good Samaritans who later contacted her family.

One of the good Samaritan, Egoh Ayamba, while commenting on the incident in a Social media thread posted by George Odok Jnr, said, "I and Kachi Allison took part in the rescue effort as the driver was trapped in the car for over 10 minutes. She was brought out through the window and pacified as she was in shock.

"Her purse and phone was retrieved and we called her family who later came around to take over", he said.
