A-28-year old barman, by name Emmanuel Okachi has been arraigned in front of magistrate court, in Ikeja Lagos for allegedly stabbing a Cook with a broken bottle.

Although, he plead not guilty t the prosecuting Inspector said he committed the offence on July 28, at Ilupeju, Lagos.

He alleged that the defendant assaulted his colleague and complaint Mrs. Ede, by using a broken bear bottle to stab her on her shoulder.

Both the defendant and the compliant works in an hotel but there was a disagreement between them. The defendant then broke a bottle of bear on his head and stab the compliant.

He Said; “the defendant was apprehended while the complaint was rushed to near by hospital”.

The defendant has been granted 50,000 naira bail with two sureties, in the like sum, by Magistrate O. Akokhia .

She also added that the two sureties should be employed and Show evidence of payment of tax for two years to Lagos state government.

The case has been adjourned to September, 19.
