Hajj 2019: C/River Contingents Join 44,000 Nigerian Pilgrims on Mount Arafat


As part of the 2019 Hajj exercise, 42 Pilgrims From Cross River State earlier today joined other 44, 000 Nigerian pilgrims at Arafat from Muna about 30 kilometers from the holy city of Mecca, in preparation for Mount Arafat Supplications.

Prayers for Governor Ben Ayade and his family , Cross River State and Nigeria as well as peaceful coexistence amongst the different ethnic groups in the country will dominate intentions of many pilgrims in their preparation for mount Arafat which is the scene where Prophet Mohammed's last sermon was delivered 14 centuries ago.

In a statement signed by the Chairman, Cross River State Pilgrim Welfare Board, Hassan Tanimu and Secretary, Abdulahi Orok said; "We are hale and healthy with our medical personnel attending to those with minimal medical issues until this morning. To say the least , we are all set for the holy exercise.”

According to them, "due to our orderly conducts and display of high level of discipline , the contingents from Cross River State have received commendation from the organisers of the Hajj tour in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia 'The Muazaza' inspite of the fact that we arrived late and we hope to sustain the tempo while the exercise last.”

They explained that, “today is the D Day and the Board is pleased to announce the arrival of our contingents to the Mount Arafat full of energy and medically fit. Adding, we are ready to render our supplications to the Almighty Allah who spared our lives to be part the 2019 hajj feast.”

The religious body hinted that, “top on our agenda is special prayers for Our Digital Governor, His Excellency, Senator Professor Ben Ayade for his unreserved support and his undiluted love, care for humanity, particularly the Muslims Ummah in Cross River State.”

"As a Congregation, His Excellency Special Prayers Started from the holy Mosque in Ka'aba on Thursday, Muna on Friday and will be climaxed with the climbing of Mount Arafat On Saturday to show our Deep Appreciation, they added.
The group also said, "We will also extend our special prayers to the good people of Cross River State for their support given to our Governor in the last four years and some Months.”

"We wish you Happy Eid-El- Kabir On Sunday Insha Allah.Barka De Sallah" the statement stated.
