An Indian woman filed a complaint in court after her husband addicted to gambling and alcohol bet her after running out of money and allowed his friends to gang-rape her upon losing.

The woman said her husband and his follow gamblers gang raped her a second time even after he apologised the first time.

According to the report, the incident took place in Jaunpur district and the police refused to take action on her complaint which prompted her to go to court.

After a court order, an FIR was then registered in Jaffarabad police station in Jaunpur district.
The victim’s husband was said to have allowed his friend Arun and relative Anil who often used to visit their house for drinking and gambling, to gang rape her after losing a bet.

The incident was said to have happened on a day in July, after which the victim went to her maternal uncle’s house but he followed her there, begging for forgiveness.

She said she forgave him and went back with him in his car but on their way, her husband stopped the car and allowed his friends to gang rape her a second time.

Police were said to have ignored the complaint which prompted the victim to go the court, where the court ordered police to register a case of gang rape.
