Using the numbers, this is Samsung 10th mobile phone under Note series and it always as expected that Samsung S-Edge smartphones come with their Note version when launched as an alternative, or if something higher is required and now we have two versions of the Notes with same design layout and some differences.

The Aura Glow color design is top-notch, it reflects with lights into different rainbow colors and it stores fingerprints on the back, so users are going to be needing a case but regardless, the color is cool and I love it.
There is no fingerprint sensor at the back, just the triple camera design with other camera techs at the back and the brand logo.
The fingerprint sensor has been moved into the screen to match the 2019 specs which are great but we have a small turn off also, the headphone jack port has been removed, making it the first Samsung flagship with no headphone jack on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series.
They said the removal of the headphone port was as a result of the bigger battery that was employed on the devices (space for bigger battery), and I refuse to believe because if they can make a space for the S-pen at the side of the phone, they could have fit in a headphone jack and according to Marcus Brownlee, he said it is now a constant choice they are making to get rid of the headphone for life, like it going guys and it never coming back.

But there is an alternative for those who still love the 3.5mm headphone port, users can get a USB Type-C dongle to connect or just use the Type-C headphone that came with the devices.
Another changed is the button, the power button is now the Bixby button. The volume button is located on the left side of the devices with the Bixby/power button while the other side is clean, and no matter how long you hold on to the Bixby/power button, the phone will not give an option to power off nor restart the phone but instead, it shows Bixby and does the normal wake and sleep function.
How to turn off Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus?
Well, there is a button at the topmost corner of the notification panel that lets users turn off, restart and go into emergency mode.

The Note 10 comes with 6.3-inch AMOLED display with 2280 x 1080p screen resolution while the Note 10 Plus features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 3040 x 1440p screen resolution which is just a little bigger than the super S10 Plus 5G.
The display quality has been regressed to 1080p instead of the 1440p that users are used to on the Note 10 which might not be bad after all because it has up to 400ppi (pixel density).
GALAXY NOTE 10 AND NOTE 10 PLUS PERFORMANCE
On the inside is a Qualcomm premium chipset, the Snapdragon 855 for both devices and yes, I forgot to mention the 5G version which will only be made for the Galaxy Note 10 Plus and is to be launched later this year with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset.
We quite some differences in the storages and a minus for the Note 10. The Samsung Note 10 is equipped with 8GB of RAM with 256GB of the internal storage and no memory on the Note 10 which is the minus I was referring to but it has a UFS 3.O storage found on the last two devices in the series.
Note 10 Plus and it’s 5G version features an 8GB/12GB of RAM with 256GB/512GB and yes, it can be expanded up to 1TB using a MicroSD and come to think of it, why does the one with bigger memory still get an Internal memory expansion? Seems really odd.
Gaming on both devices performed wonderfully well as expected with games like PUGB, Asphalt 9, PES 2019 PRO, and FIFA 19 loading fast and running smoothly without stuttering.
Multitasking becomes easy with both devices as the RAM is large enough to launch multiple heavy apps and still run through them smoothly.
There is also an AR features joined with the Infinity-O display and Dolby Atmos speakers which makes the gaming experience more prevailing.
Since the body is made of metal and glass, it might get a little bit hot sometimes when performing heavy operations like gaming, so Samsung took its time to engineer a feature (Vapor chamber cooling system)to cool the systems down which is something that has been adopted on other premium smartphones of other brands like Nokia, OPPO, VIVO, XIAOMI, and others.
Another feature is the ability to connect the Note 10 series to any computer or monitor (windows and mac) to use the Samsung DeX by using the USB Type-C that came with the devices.
Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus runs on the new UI called OneUI which is based on Android v9 Pie.
What’s Samsung DeX?
Well, this software enables users to access files, edit text and run apps from the devices on your computer/monitor which is very cool and all you need is a Type-C USB cable to connect and Samsung DeX will appear on your monitor or computer screen in a different window.
Samsung has also gone on another level with Microsoft with a new feature called Sync to windows, i.e. users can now sync their media, messages, upload projects, or it let users mirror the device’s screen to get apps notifications through your MS account wirelessly.
Note 10 series and their S-pen are equipped with water resistance (IP68 rating) but guys, it is not advised for pool or beach, and talking about the S-pen, it has been redesigned to perform some air gestures, some which are zooming in and out when using the camera, taking shots, swiping through gallery, converting handwriting to text in the background and then index it for users to actually search for in the note app using one of the keyword.
Samsung opened up an SDK for applications developers to push actions into their apps.
GALAXY NOTE 10 AND NOTE 10 PLUS POWER
We have a big bigger battery capacity on the Note 10 Plus which I presume was supposed to be the same as the Note 10 to compliment for the inability to expand memory but I think their thinking is towards the display not consuming much battery life and maybe to sell out more Note 10 Plus.
We have a 3,500mAh battery capacity, while the Note 10 Plus gets a whopping 4,300mAh battery capacity, and both devices feature a fast charging technology with 25-watt chargers in the box but only the Plus has an extension up to 45-watt charger that is sold separately.
There are wireless charging and reversible wireless technology which lets user charge another device that supports wireless charging. The Note 10 comes with a 12-watt wireless charging tech, while the Note 10 Plus comes with 15-watt.
GALAXY NOTE 10 AND NOTE 10 PLUS CAMERA
Samsung Note 9 still has one of the best cameras in 2019 and now the Note 10 and 10 Plus which comes with an extra camera.
We have a triple main back camera on both devices; a 12MP primary shooter with f/1.5 large aperture and OIS, an ultra-wide 16MP with f/2.2 aperture and field-of-view of 123 degrees and lastly, we have a 12MP telephoto shooter with an aperture of f/2.1 and OIS (optical image stabilization).
Note 10 Plus as an extra camera which is specially designed handle depth. It is a VGA camera with f/1.4 aperture and a field-of-view of 80 degrees.
The layout of the cameras changed as well if you noticed, the S10 seriesand other Note series cameras were never located on the left side, but instead in the middle, plus the flash and depth camera is separated from the camera collection and placed them beside it, and to the front is a 10MP selfie camera located in the hole.
There is also this new cool feature I really love, the zoom-in Mic feature when recording. This feature basically focuses on the sound in the area that has been zoomed, like the more you zoom-in, the more the microphone focus on the zoomed area.
How is this the Zoom-in Mic feature useful?
If you are a student in a crowded class and you need to record the lecture so you can refer to later and you want to capture everything the lecturer said, all you have to do is zoom-in on the lecturer and the Mic will focus on the sound around the lecturer. Cool right?
We have a live-focus video with live bokeh effect and color pop, and there is a feature called an AR doodle which let the user draw on a focused subject and have it imitated in 3D space.
And lastly, we have a pre-installed video editor to help users cut and join clips on the device and it is said to rhyme/work with Adobe to enhance Note 10 for Adobe Rush.
GALAXY NOTE 10 AND NOTE 10 PLUS PRICE IN NIGERIA
Samsung Note 10 and Note 10 Plus in Nigeria will be pretty expensive. Galaxy Note 10 will be sold for 333,150, while the Note 10 Plus will be sold for 385,650 Naira.
