madmohammed, Swahili is more than what!

Asides East Africa and one or two other spots in Africa where else is Swahili spoken? Okay, combine the populations of Uganda, Rwanda Tanzania and Kenya{where Swahili enjoys official language status} with that of Congo and Somalia; Is that up to 900 million people?

My estimate, Swahili has far less than a hundred million speakers all together. That's just about 7-10% of the population of English-speakers the world over.

Of course, it's got to be Mandarin.

At least 7-8 of these languages have their origins in Asia. Mostly South and South-East Asia. Mandarin, Hindustani, Malay, Bengali, Punjabi, Telugu. It's crazy men...

Swahili is more widely spoken than Hausa.

Also, their grouping of native and non-native speakers for English and Portuguese is quite dubious.

Rubbish site.

:O Who told you that there is a language known as "India"

India has two main official languages- Hindi. Hindi and English{to an extent}. Hindi is a variant of the Hindustani language which is number 3 on this list.
