It serves as deterrent to young aspiring robbers, look we have 200mil souls in this entity, way too much people, getting rid of these scums is good for economy and society...do you know how much it takes to feed a prisoner for a year, that is waste of tax payers fund.

That is not correct, Nigeria has been participating in Jungle justice for a very long time and yet criminal activity hasn't reduced, jungle justice only suppress criminal act for a short time in an area.

Do you know that jungle justice is one of the oldest act in the world?
Wildly practiced by under-developed community, yet major crime still dwell in same community? and Do you also know that this same practice has been banned in developed countries as they later realized it didn't solve their problem?
Do you also know that Singapore celebrated a year of crime free and no arrest? yet they didn't use jungle justice?

Prevention of crime has proven over time to be far better than punishment. Nigeria has one of the poorest crime prevention mechanism.
Nigeria has been partaking in Jungle justice for a very long time now and yet the amount of criminal activities hasn't reduced. Jungle justice are carried out majorly by hoodlums, rift raft and louts and many time this are poeple who are unskilled in handling criminals, they rather burn a theif caught than find other members of the crew.
Long run of this method of justice is that people will become reluctant over time to use the modern form of justifications. They would give all form of excuses and foul reason why to avoid it and why jungle justice is better

As for Nigeria now, the state is very corrupt, but even at that many people has made jungle justice a culture, so if this same set of people meet a better Nigeria tomorrow, they would still partake in Jungle justice

You can't eradicate crimes in the society,but violent crimes like armed invasion etc, are not tolerated anywhere in the world. In America you can shoot and kill an armed intruder, it is allowed. There is 'stand your ground' law, there is 'self defense' laws. Other financial crimes are more tolerable for a society, but People that kill are killed in America, China, Indonesia etc. Some People are born evil, you.cant change them.

Aside self defense(when your live is on the line or someone else life) there are no other justifications that you kill someone,, every crime has it magnitude. Financial crime of stealing public funds is more deadly than a man who murdered someone in cold blood. The after effect of some crime is more toxic than arm robbery.
Killing a criminal is not the problem here infact I have no sympathy for criminals who deserve to die and killing is. But this doesn't mean we allow citizens to do the killing, the moment citizens start killing criminals themselves it means nothing but a country with a failed security system. Killing criminals yourself means you're saying thr country security is unworthy and would not handle the case in a just way. And that is the problem of Nigeria today. I can't actually blame the rift rafts who engage in the act simply because truly Nigeria security system is a hogwash
