PRECISION AND TIMEKEEPING

Precision: the quality, condition, or fact of being exact and accurate.

Timekeeping is actually linked to "Precision" as both involve mental, intellectual and moral discipline. Precision most times requires good timekeeping. And timekeeping means being precisely on time.

Precision is a concept many Nigerians are not aware of, so precision does not really feature in the life of a typical Nigerian, does it? We are just sloppy with time, sloppy with work, sloppy about character development, sloppy about voting, sloppy about family planning, sloppy about getting our country to develop. Let's face it, Nigeria represents sloppiness and failure (viz now the poverty capital of the world).
Synonyms for Precision include: rigour, attention, care, carefulness, correctness, exactness.... All these beautiful words that sadly do not characterize the typical Nigerian.

So my dear Nigerian, your poor timekeeping, your sloppy "African time" attitude, is a great let-down to yourself, your community, your country, and your continent. Your continued refusal to act like an adult and to respect time, like those German and Japanese citizens whose work ethic the world admires because of their precision and renown timekeeping, is your undoing and one of the reasons why foreign firms will not employ you when they come to Nigeria, or if they do, will still bring their own people to be boss over you.

We too are Nigerians and Africans. But we are so ashamed at the immaturity that "African time" which describes hopeless timekeeping, brings upon the African psyche and character. Only we, fellow Black people, can tell ourselves the truth. "African time" is a curse on our people and causes us to miss too many good things that the rest of the world is enjoying.

We here are Nigerian Timekeepers and we bring an ALTERNATIVE CULTURE to Nigerians. We bring the culture of good timekeeping, and we value being precise and working with precision. So choose to be a timekeeper, come and join us - let us together kick out "African time" from our country, and from our continent. Spread the message. Spread the behaviour. Spread the orientation of good timekeeping. Send people to our Facebook site.
