The idea of VAR was a noble idea especially after the ineptitude of most match official due to human error and everyone welcomed the idea of such well timed innovation to save the face of match officials.
Then the implementation became a problem, one may wonder why?. One factor is that technology is a concept which is error free but the problem is that VAR is still subject to human decision which only buys time for the match official to decide what is decision is going to be but at the end of the day turns out to confuse the officials.
VAR which was brought in to become a hero is gradually becoming a culprit especially with notable decisions that splits opinion between pundits and footballers , such notable arguments against the use of VAR is a Manchester united Cup game in which Mata was judged to be offside with the use of VAR but everyone agreeed after critical post match criticism that the Mata was onside.
Another notable case is the recently concluded Super cup match and todays game between Mancity and Tot.Although VAR is such a notable concept but i am of the opinion that VAR which was introduced to avoid football controversy is actually becoming the Controversy.
