You are right. another angle however is that most of those agberos and conductors are walking corpses. Their kidneys and livers had been destroyed with hard drinks plus agbo. Many had hit some of them and they died.

This is sadly the true image of democracy.
Nigeria was a series of little village and tribes.
We got colonised and somehow made to accept foreign ways.
Some local people refuse to accept. These are the agberos (omo ni le - child of the land). They feel entitled to compensation for whatever new trend or development you want to put on their land. And they will beat you up if you don't compensate them.
They don't feel as part of democracy or development.
They just want to maintain ownership of their land and remain backwards and undeveloped in everyway
They don't want to struggle for money or improvement. Don't want to do ANYTHING. They remain 100% against your progress.
