This happened yesterday along Eboh road, Warri, Delta State when the man answered a phone call close to his LPG gas cylinder. Himself and wife became the victims.

Watch out where necessary to answer phone calls: Avoid taking calls in kitchen, petrol stations, gas plant or where you see No smoking sign, volatile or explosive symbols.

Oh my goodness!

Phone call didn't cause this. There's literally no connection between those harmless waves from your phone and lighting up your gas. There was a gas leak somewhere, which ignited as soon as they struck a match. Stop causing panic in people .

Abeg someone should explain how taking a phone call near a gas, a petrol station, a generator could cause an explosion because I'm not understanding again

Incoming calls cause a trigger when there is a gas leak or when the gas is on and there is fire. Outgoing calls do not cause a trigger.

The phone call didn’t cause this, “static electricity” did. There must have been a gas leak. The phone call may have been a trigger but there would have been no fire without the leakage/presence of gas in the air.
