Lawyer and Human Right Activist, Abdul Mahmud says scam in Nigeria is masked.

The lead Attorney for EndSars campaign statement was a reaction to a follower question on the arrest of supposed Nigerian entrepreneur, Obinwanne Okeke, popularly known as Invictus Obi in a series of tweets on his official twitter handle.

He said, “Yesterday, a tweep popped up in my DM, asking: Oracle, sir, you’ve not tweeted about Invictus. Why, sir? I was lost. I asked: what about, Invictus? Who is s/he? The tweep sent me series of tweets on the Nigerian wire scam.”

“See, ehh, scam has many levels in our country. Like Nigeria, it is masked. You’ve to heed Achebe’s advice by standing in many places to see through the mask and discern the scams. There are public scams- the ones our elected representatives perpetuate daily.”

“And the private scams- the ones ordinary citizens perpetuate every day in the name of hustle- let’s call it, “chairman, bless your boy/girl type”. Add the new CV review fad- dat na scam. Even Nigeria is a scam perpetuated by erstwhile British coloniser."
