Adebisi and her best friend, Jide, were in a bank to withdraw some money since the ATMs were not working.

The bank was enormous and was covered with glass. The doors, the windows, the tables, and even the roof was made of glass. Although it was a bank, people called it The Glass House. The glass roof has a device that limited the rays of the sun and it was easy to see the sky. People and vehicles outside the banks could be seen but those ones couldn’t see the inside of the bank. Everything about the bank was cool.

Normal transactions went on. A plasma TV screen, set to Channels TV station showed news of the day. Customers stayed on queues and were attended to by tellers, bankers and customer care agents. Security was tight.

Suddenly, there were shouts inside and outside of the bank. Adebisi and Jide looked back and they saw something supernatural. Several animals that looked like crocodiles, and about 5 to 6ft, were jumping at people and vehicles. An okada rider and his passenger were jumped on and as they fell off the motorcycle, the crocodiles began to eat and swallow them.

Some people fainted in the bank while others began to scream and scream. Pandemonium everywhere. People on the street outside took to their heels but the evil crocodiles were faster. Cars crashed into cars, trailers and trucks smashed shops and smaller vehicles.

One of the security men inside the bank switched off the controls of the automatic doors to prevent people outside and the monsters from coming in. Two people were trapped in the doors. They screamed and screamed.

Suddenly, the glass roof caved in and about ten of the evil crocodiles jumped inside. People who had fainted woke up by force and the inside of the bank scattered as people ran helter skelter. The crocs pounced on them and began to eat them. Crocs flew over counters to eat the people in charge of tellers. Customer care agents abandoned their customers and dived through glass windows.

Despite the pandemonium and brouhaha, Adebisi and her friend were calm. They were used to seeing evils like these and dealing with them. It was their job to exterminate evils. A crocodile saw a senator speaking on the plasma TV; it flew towards it and smashed it with its mouth.

“They have wings,” Adebisi told Jide.

“Yeah, what are going to do?” Jide asked.

“Fight our way out like we always do, and find a way to exterminate them” Adebisi replied.

Their weapons were locked in a shelf outside the bank. Security reasons. A crocodile faced them and dived towards them. As the crocodile opened its mouth to swallow one of them, Jide grabbed an iron chair and put it in the path of the crocodile’s mouth.

The two friends heard loud cracks as the crocodile’s teeth cracked and broke from trying to eat an iron chair. The iron chair broke into pieces and a jagged part pierced the crocodile’s throat. It fell down dead.

One of the other crocs saw this and got very angry. It stood up on two legs and began to beat its chest like King Kong. It dived towards the two. Adebisi somersaulted over the crocodile while Jide glided under it. The croc landed on a glass table and shattered it.

Adebisi saw a crocodile trying it eat a pregnant woman. She pressed a button on her shoes and small sharp pins sprang out of the front of her shoes.

She ran towards the crocodile, jumped up and smashed the pins on her boots into the crocodile’s eyes. The crocodile landed in pain. The other crocodiles stopped what they were doing and faced Adebisi.

“Run!” Jide screamed.

Adebisi ran towards a broken window and dived out. She landed with a roll and began to run. The remaining eight crocodiles chased after her. Jide ran to the controls and opened the automatic doors. The trapped people inside were happy.

“You better stay there. That place is better than inside or outside.”

He ran to the shelf and broke the lock with a kick. He brought out two specially-made guns with enough specially made bullets. He ran out of the bank after the eight crocodiles.

Crocodiles were still eating people on the road. He shot at them. As the bullets penetrated the crocodiles’ body, it evaporated them into blood and tissues. Jide saw that the eight crocodiles were chasing Adebisi to a wall where she would be trapped. “Bisi!” Jide screamed.

Adebisi looked back and saw Jide throw a gun towards her. She was close to the wall now. The gun flew over the heads of the crocs but before it could smash against the wall, Adebisi grabbed it, ran up the wall and tumbled backwards over the heads of the crocs.

Immediately she landed and before the crocs could turn back and face her, Adebisi shot each of them in the head. Their heads evaporated and they fell dead.
“Whew, that was close,” Adebisi said. Jide pulled her up. They turned back to see the largest monster they had ever seen.

It was huge. As big as two adult elephants, but it had the body of a crocodile. It flew towards them.

“That should be their leader,” Adebisi said. She and Jide raised their guns, targeted the monster’s head and fired. The flying monster landed and exploded like a bomb.

And a miraculous thing happened. All the other crocodiles began to explode too.

The two friends picked up their bags and escaped before people could thank or cheer them. Till today, no one knew where the crocs had come from.
